How do you solve a problem like the future of urban mobility?
Whatever your views on the matter, there are several factors increasingly out of our control that could shape the future of cars, particularly in a city environment.
Fossil fuels are becoming more scarce, and more expensive as a result. So cars are likely to need an alternative source of propulsion. Cities are becoming more cramped, as more of the world's population move into towns and cities from the country (we recently passed the 50 percent mark - over half the world's population now live in cities). And more people own cars, too - so city cars will need to get smaller.
